Terms of Service

Welcome to Bambi. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Bambi mobile application, website at joinbambi.com, and related services (together, the “Service”). Bambi is operated by 2743206 Ontario Inc., a corporation organized in Ontario, Canada (referred to as “Bambi,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By creating an account, accessing the Service, or otherwise using it, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

• Adults only. You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use the Service where you reside.
• You agree to provide accurate account and profile information, keep it reasonably current, and not impersonate another person.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity through your account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
• You may not create an account if we have previously removed or suspended you for serious safety or policy violations, unless we give written permission.

2. How Bambi works

Bambi helps adults discover, propose, and express interest in real-world date invitations, interact with other members, and coordinate meetings. A date invitation is a proposal made by another member, not an offer or guarantee by Bambi. Matches, messages, invitations, acceptance, attendance, and compatibility are never guaranteed.

Members decide whether to communicate or meet, the terms of any date, and how any associated costs are shared. Bambi is not a party to agreements between members and does not pay for, arrange, supervise, or insure their in-person activities unless expressly stated in a particular Bambi-operated feature.

3. Community rules and prohibited conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Threaten, stalk, intimidate, harass, bully, defraud, exploit, or impersonate another person.
• Post hateful or discriminatory abuse, non-consensual intimate content, sexual content involving minors, or material that promotes violence or illegal activity.
• Solicit prostitution, trafficking, commercial sexual services, coercive exchanges, or other unlawful transactions.
• Disclose another person's private information, share someone else's photos without permission, or record or distribute private communications without the consent or legal authority required.
• Spam, advertise unrelated products, operate fake accounts, scrape profiles, reverse-engineer the Service, bypass security systems, or access data without authorization.
• Post false, misleading, or unlawful date invitations or misrepresent your identity, intentions, availability, or material details of a proposed date.

You must comply with applicable laws and respect other members' boundaries. Consent to chat or accept an invitation is not consent to physical contact or any other activity. Any person can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Your safety and interactions with others

Use care when communicating with or meeting people you first encounter through Bambi. Consider meeting in a public location, informing someone you trust about your plans, and independently arranging transportation. Do not send money or sensitive financial information to strangers. Bambi cannot guarantee the identity, background, intentions, safety, or conduct of any member. We do not undertake to verify every profile or screen every member.

In an emergency, contact local emergency services. For reports about accounts, harmful content, or unsafe behaviour, use available in-app reporting tools or email [email protected].

5. Date invitations, expenses, and third parties

Descriptions of restaurants, activities, event tickets, reservations, or other experiences are provided for discovery and may be user-generated. Venue availability, pricing, and third-party terms may change. Unless clearly agreed among participants, no one should assume another member is paying for their meal, ticket, travel, or other expenses. Bambi does not guarantee reimbursement, reservations, admissions, or performance by venues or other third parties.

6. Paid features and Apple subscriptions

Some features may require an in-app purchase or auto-renewing subscription. Before you confirm a purchase, the Apple purchase screen and applicable offer description will show the price, billing period, and relevant product details. Purchases made through the iOS app are billed and managed by Apple under Apple's applicable terms.

• Auto-renewal. If you buy an auto-renewing subscription, it renews for additional periods unless you cancel as described by Apple.
• Cancellation. Manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting your Bambi account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
• Refunds. For purchases billed by Apple, request eligible refunds through Apple under Apple's refund process and applicable law. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
• Changes. Prices, offers, and feature availability may change, with notice where required. We will not charge you for a paid feature without the applicable purchase authorization.

7. Content you submit

You retain ownership of the content you upload or submit, including profile information, photographs, date descriptions, messages, and feedback (your “Content”). You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it. You grant Bambi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, adapt for technical formatting, and otherwise process your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and provide the Service, including displaying applicable profile details or invitations to other members according to Service features and your settings. This licence ends when your Content is deleted from active systems, except to the extent copies must be retained for legitimate legal, security, or operational purposes.

You must not copy, download, redistribute, or use other members' Content outside the Service without their permission or another lawful basis.

8. Moderation, enforcement, and reports

We may review reports, investigate suspected misuse, remove Content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or the Service, or comply with law. We may do so without advance notice when warranted by safety or security concerns. We are not obligated to monitor all communications or Content and do not guarantee detection of every violation.

If you believe an action was made in error, contact [email protected] with the relevant details. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under applicable law.

9. Privacy and account deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. You can initiate account deletion from within the app. If you cannot access your account or need assistance, email [email protected]. Some data may be retained after deletion where reasonably needed for legal obligations, disputes, fraud prevention, or safety, as described in that policy.

10. Intellectual property

Except for member Content, the Service and its branding, software, design, and other materials belong to Bambi or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for lawful personal purposes in accordance with these Terms. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features and may perform maintenance. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free access or that any particular feature will remain available. If we make material changes affecting paid features, we will provide notice or remedies as applicable law requires.

12. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties not expressly provided by us. We do not warrant the accuracy of member Content or the safety, compatibility, conduct, or reliability of other members, venues, or experiences. You remain responsible for your decisions and interactions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bambi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data arising from use of the Service. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid to Bambi for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer protection rights, liability for our fraud or wilful misconduct, or rights arising under mandatory law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, except where mandatory consumer protection or other applicable laws of your place of residence require otherwise. Before commencing formal proceedings, you may contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve your concern informally. Nothing in this section requires you to give up a right to bring a claim in a court or forum available to you under mandatory law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version and effective date and provide additional notice of material changes where legally required. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law; if you do not agree, discontinue use and delete your account.
